    • EMERGENCY is a serious conditions that occurs unexpectedly that may cause danger to health and life of a person
  • BLEEDING: loss of blood from circulatory system
    • Types of bleeding:
    1. Arterial bleeding
    • Blood burst from damage artery and typically bright red in color
    2. Venous bleeding
    • Blood is usually dark or plum in color that flows continuously
    3. Capillary bleeding
    • Blood comes out in drops or small quantity from damage skin
  • First Aid Management
    • Tell the victim to remain calm
    • Wear gloves
    • Apply direct pressure
    • Apply bandages
    • Be alert
    • Call 911 or 143
    • Comport the victim
  • NOSE BLEEDING: continuous blood flows from one or both nostrils that last for a few seconds to 10 minutes.
    • Common cause:
    1. Cracked or dryness inside the nose
    2. Minor injury in the nose
    3. Blowing the nose hardly
    4. Picking the nose
  • First Aid Management
    • Let the victim sit down and stay calm
    • Pinch the soft part of the nose firmly for atleast 10-15 minutes.
    • Ask the victim to lean forward and breath in his mouth
    • Place ice pack on the bridge of the nose 
    • Put pressure on the upper lip or below the nose
    • Do not let the victim to lay down until the bleeding stops
    • Call 911 if the bleeding continues after 15 minutes
