  • the wind howled through the desolate streets its icy fingers clawing at the remains of the
    once vibrant city
  • streetlights flickered casting elongated shadows that danced like spectres on the crumbling walls
  • the silence was deafening, broken only by the distant creak of metal and the occasional whisper of wind

  • i pulled my coat tighter, the fabric offering little resistance against the biting cold.
  • each step echoed, a solitary drumbeat in vast emptiness
  • buildings stood as hollow sentinels. their windows shattered, nature had begun its reclamation.
  • ivy snaked up brickwork and weeds burst through the concrete
  • i rememberd when this street bustled with life, children's laughter, the aroma of fresh bread from the bakery, the hum of conversation

  • all now a ghost of my memories, the whole world had changed overnight, a silent enemy sweeping through leaving desolation in its wake
