  • reduced Hawthorne effect (subjects aren’t aware of the research) = higher validity, meaningful conclusions drawn, researching as intended
• weakness

  • low levels of control (researchers only manipulate a few variables in the environment for study 
  • low replicability + reliability - difficult to repeat it exactly due to limited control in natural subject environment
