    possibly have learning disabilities and behavioural problems.
  • XYY genetic theory suggest that some crime might be attributable to a chromosomal abnormality.
  • What does studies suggests?
    In 8 studies, it suggests violent offenders have higher testosterone levels than less violent prison inmates. This is shown by it being carried out by different types of violent offenders.
  • Kreuz and Rose (1972) were the first to find that prisoners with a history of violent crime during adolescence showed higher testosterone than other prisoners.
  • who is Richard Speck?
    He is serial who had killed 8 nurses in July 1966 in Chicago. He is seen as a representative of the XYY theory as he shown to have the symptoms such as being overly tall (6 foot 1), repeated 8th grade and dropped out of school before he turned 11 and his face was covered with acne scarring.
  • What did Richard Speck do?
    He killed 8 nurses and systematically sexually assaulted and strangled each women individually. One nurse was able to get away because he had miscounted his victims and she hid under the bed and reported him.
