-add sodium hydrogen carbonate and water to a boiling tube
-cut 10cm of pondweed and put in the boiling tube
-set up an LED light 10cm away
-start the stop watch and count the number of bubbles released in one minute
-repeat steps altering the distance of the lamp from the boiling tube
