• How to find the Density of a Gas

  1. Remove the air from a flask of a known volume, using a vacuum pump
  2. Find its mass
  3. Add the gas to be tested
  4. Reweigh the difference in the mass of the gas
  5. Calculate its density

  A) 1000 cm³

  B) 170g

  C) 150g

  D) 1000 cm³

  E) 170-150 = 20g

  F) ρ = m/v = 20/1000 = 0.02 g/cm³
