• Receptor: something that detects a change in the environment

  Effector: a part of the body that produces a response such as a muscle or gland

  Co-ordinator: where decisions are made which are the brain and spinal cord
• Describe the parts of the nervous system involved in a reflex action

  Receptor -> Sensory Neurone -> Relay Neurone -> Spinal Cord -> Motor Neurone -> Effector
