Research design bias

• Research design are really important as research methods that psychologist use can cause results and conclusions to be gender bias
• Psychologists need to be careful they're not unconsciously including any gender stereotypes
• Participants need to be selected in a non-biased way. Most studies only use male university students and generalising could create beta-bias.
• Research sometimes unconsciously treat male and female participants differently during a study. To avoid this everyone needs to be spoken to in the same manner.
• Gender stereotypes affect their expectations about the outcomes of research. Expectations affect the results that they record or way results are interpreted.
• Not all studies are published
