  • In a double blind trial, the test group recieves the active drug
    The placebo or control group will recieve a dummy drug which will look exactly like the test drug but has no active ingredient
  • In a double blind trial, neither the patients or the doctors know which people are recieving the drug and which people are recieving the placebo - that is to stop bias incase the doctors pay closer attention to people who are recieving the active drug
