a type of infectious disease that can be easily spread from person to person through direct or indirect contact
all contagious diseases are infectious but not all infectious diseases are contagious
define non-contagious disease
the same as non-infectious . the disease cannot be spread from person to person through contact
define communicable disease
a disease that can be spread from one person to another
define non-communicable disease
a disease that cannot be spread from one person to another
define zoonotic disease
a disease that is transmitted from an animal to a human . it is non-communicable .

a disease exists in a population all the time

a disease is spread in a geographically defined area
define pandemic
a disease is easily spread over continents or globally
