Plant structures and their functions

• Photosynthetic organisms are the main producers of food and therefore biomass.
• During photosynthesis photosynthetic organisms use energy from the sun to make glucose.
• Some glucose is used to make larger, complex molecules that plants or algae need ti grow making up the organisms biomass - mass of living material.
