Free will

• People have the ability to choose how to behave.

  Their behaviour isn't a response to external or biological factors and isn't influenced by past behaviour
• People can explain behaviours in terms of decisions and intentions
• Free will is subjective someone might think they're choosing how to behave but actually influenced by other factors
• Some people with psychological disorders don't have free will
• Many approaches acknowledge the idea of free will
• Humanistic approach is the free will side of debate
