Evolutionary Game Theory

• monomorphic population - everyone has the same strategy (pure or mixed)
• polymorphic population - different individuals may have different strategies
• basin of attraction of p=0: set of points from which converge to p=0
• Evolutionarily stable equilibrium 1: either a strict (each player best-responding) symmetric pure NE
• Evolutionarily stable equilibrium 2: consider a potential mutant strategy that does as well against a potential mixed ESS as the ESS, but does strictly less well against themselves than the ESS does against the mutant - this is an ESS
• the risk dominant equilibrium is the unique stochastically stable equilibrium (the equilibrium with the larger basin of attraction)
