density of a liquid

• place measuring cylinder on a balance and zero the balance
• pour 10ml of liquid into measuring cylinder and record liquids mass
• pour another 10ml into measuring cylinder, repeating process until cylinder is full and recording volume and mass each time
• for each measurement use formula to find density ( 1ml = 1cm3)
• finally take an average of calculated densities and this is the density of liquid
