  • The UKs relief (height above the sea) means that we have numerous
    rivers and a variety of coastlines that makes up the shape of the UK.
    Typically the North is very mountainous and steep, whereas the
    South of the UK is low lying with gentle relief.
    Rivers always start in the upper course and their mouth reaches the
    sea.
