(1) NA’s were starving and dying out quickly and so they began the Ghost Dance to resurrect ancestors and the settlers would be washed away in a great flood.
(2) As it spread U.S grew concerned it was a pre-war ritual and army was called in to stop them. Washington dispatched 5,000 cavalry to stop the dance, leading to many NA’s fleeing to Big Foot’s camp at Wounded Knee
(3) December 15th, a bullet was fired and Sitting Bull was killed causing a massive fight to break out. In the end 250 Lakota were dead along with 25 U.S (mainly from their own side)
