    • Infants do not know they are being observed therefore cannot adjust behaviour, however caregivers can change behaviour
    • Observations show consistent patterns of interactions therefore there’s research support, do not know if imitations are unconscious or deliberate
    • Controlled observations capture fine details due to multiple cameras therefore there’s high validity
  • Interactional synchrony- Mirrored behaviour between caregiver and infant that happens at the same time to maintain a close relationship
