Newton's Laws of Motion

• Newton's 1st Law of Motion - An object will stay at rest or continue to travel in the same direction at a constant velocity unless acted on by an unbalanced force.
• Newton's 2nd Law of Motion (F=ma) - The rate of acceleration of a body is directly proportional to the force applied and in the direction in which the force is applied. Force = mass x acceleration
• Newton's 3rd Law of motion (Action/Reaction) - For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
