• Noli Me Tangere amd El Filibusterismo - Jose Rizal's masterpieces that paved the way to the revolution
• Nationalistic/Propaganda Period planted seeds of nationalism in Filipinos. Language shifted from Spanish to Tagalog. Addressed the "masa" instead of the "intelligentsia".
