  • it is estimated that the M4 corridor produces 8 percent of the UKs economic output, as much as manchester and birmingham combined
  • recently, businesses in the M4 corridor have begun to move into london because of: the attraction of urban living for a young workforce, proximity of similar companies to swap ideas and workers, new businesses require less space than first generation of high tech industries
  • benefits of M4 corridor:
    • a good environment in which to live and work, close to beautiful countryside
    • near to universities for highly educated workforce, expertise and research
    • industries are located close to the M4
    • land prices are cheaper outside of london
