UK railways

• • With over 35 million road users, the government are trying to bring back the use of Railways to ease congestion and move the economy forward.​
• High Speed 1 (HS1) runs from Kent to London, using the Eurostar tracks. There are plans to build HS2 which will run from London to Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.
• The line's planned route is between Handsacre, in southern Staffordshire, and London, with a spur to Birmingham. HS2 is to be Britain's second purpose-built high-speed railway after High Speed 1, which connects London to the Channel Tunnel.​
