• critique- contains setting, plot, conflicts, theme, dialogue
• literary criticism= the study of literature and its historical and cultural contexts, and the interpretation of literary works
• structuralist/ formalist approach- approaches a text by its organic form like setting, character, plot, tone, pov, symbols
• feminist critique- focuses on gender roles and power dynamics between men and women
• moralist approach- describe the behavior of the character in a literary work
• Marxist approach- focuses on social and political condition
• moralist- ethical and moral
• reader- response- the reader is the one who interprets the text and makes meaning out of it
• reader- response- gives feedback/ comment to the literary work
