    • Give an example of Consolidation
Sentencing was consolidated in the Powers Of Criminal Courts Act 2000, however this has since been changed again.

    • What are the disadvantages of a law commission?
Delays waiting for Parliament to bring in the reforms it proposes.
An example of this is offences against the Person act witches very old law. Commission have made a report in 1993 and 1998, but the law has not changed yet.
In civil law, the area of negligence and liability for psychiatric illness have not been changed despite the law commission recommending it
    • Another example of a disadvantage of the law commission
      Lack of Parliamentary time
    • Disadvantage of the definition
Bye, agree with low commission in principle, however do not reform the law
