  • Line graphs
    Used to plot the relationship between two variables, often shows a change in a variable over time. The ends of the line graph do not have to join to the axes.
  • Bar charts
    Represents the frequencies of results across different categories or conditions. All bars are equal widths and the height of the bar represents the frequency of the result.
  • Histogram
    Represents continuous data, the area of the bar represents the frequency. Bars can be different widths and there are no gaps inbetween bars.
