  • Statistical Significance
    p=0.10 - 90% confidence, its very lenient and leads to a high level of risk of false results. p=0.05 - 95% confidence, the standard level of risk and is the most common level used. p=0.01 - 99% confidence, very strict level to achieve, mainly used in medical trials
  • Statistical tests
    Chi squared (x2)- shows differences, independent groups, nominal data. Sign test (s)- shows differences, repeated/matched groups, nominal data. Mann Whitney U test- shows differences, independent groups, ordinal interval and ratio data. Wilcoxon T test (T)- shows differences, repeated/matched groups, ordinal interval and ratio data. Spearman's test (rs/rho)- shows correlation, any groups, ordinal interval and ratio data.
