Arithmetic Series

• The sum of the terms in an arithmetic sequence is called an arithmetic series. Denoted by Sn
• Arithmetic Sequence: Sum of n Terms Formula: Sn = n (a1 + an)/ 2 where:

  • Sn = the sum of the first n terms
  • an = the nth term
  • a1 = the first term
  • n = the number of terms
