Ringworm

• Terbinafine 1% for over 16 yrs
• Imidazoles- Clotrimazole, Miconazole or Econazole(however POM)
• POM Oral Terbinafine firstline for 4 weeks
• Griseofulvin POM for 6-8wks
• Topical Ketoconazole shampoo or Imidazole cream
• Referral if on the head
• Wear loose fitting cotton clothes
• Maintain good hygiene and dry thouroughly
• Avoid scratching
• Do not share towels
• Children do not need to miss school
• Canesten cream use bd or td for at least 4 weeks, until 10 days after rash clears
• Refer if located on the head
• Loose fitting clothings, clean skin well and dry
• Wash clothes and bed linen
