Vaginal Thrush

• Topical Creams or pessaries : Imidazole,Clotrimazole,Econazole and Miconazole
• Topical is fine in breastfeeding but refer if pregnant
• Systemic single dose fluconazole
• Change underwear everyday
• Avoid tight clothing
• Non perfumed soaps
• Avoid vaginal douches
• Refer if four or more episodes per year
• Refer if younger than 16 or older than 60, pregnant or breastfeeding, or symptoms lasts for more than a week
• Systemic fluconazole not in pregnancy/breastfeeding
• Symptoms are vulva itching and thicky discharge with no odour
• Refer if no change after 7 days
