Key Events of Munich Putsch

• Hitler plotted with Kahr and Lossow to take over Munich in a revolution, but they called it off on 4th Oct 1923
• On 9th Nov, Hitler and the SA marched into Munich, but Kahr had already called in reinforcement, 16 SA members were killed and Hitler fled but was arrested 2 days later
• On 8th Nov 1923, Hitler and 600 SA members burst into their meeting at a beer hall waving around a gun, Hitler forced them to agree to rebel and had the SA take over the local newspaper offices
• Consequences:

  Nazi party banned

  Hitler was imprisoned, the Judge was lenient, and he was released early

  Hitler wrote Mein Kampf

  Hitler reorganised the Nazi Party
