  2. falling wages: real wages were 15% lower than 4 years ago

  • many working class people say the communist as the only party who would defend their jobs & their wages against employers
• • but the support for nazi party grew faster than communists
  • because communism scared germany’s upper & middle class
  • fear of communism was the main support for the NSDAP
