• April 1932: Presidential election, Hitler comes 2nd to Hindenburg
• May 1932: Brüning resigned as Chancellor, Franz Von Papen as replacement
• July 1932: Reichstag elections by Von Papen to try win majority
• Dec 1932: Von Papen resigned, Kurt Von Schleicher as Chancellor
• Jan 1933: Von Papen and Hindenburg turn to Hitler and appoint him as Chancellor (believed he could be controlled)
