• what's fMRIs?

  • shows brain activity
  • using radiowaves
  • oxygenated blood flows to active region of brain -> looks lighter as oxygenated blood is more dense
• advantages:

  • high resolution
  • can directly see brain activity
  • can see it over a period of time -> takes 4 images in 1 sec
  • brain activity in real time
• disadvantages:

  • expensive
  • noisy + clostrophib
  • can't accomodate to people with metalic implants
  • difficult physical setup
  • moderate temporal resolution
