  • Camping is a tourist activity that consist sleeping in a portable shelter such as a tent or trailer and travelling with equipment designed for outdoor living
  • Types of tent
    1. Pop-up tent - round tent with a framework that deploys automatically
    2. One-person tent - small low roofed tent with enough room to accommodate one person
    3. Dome tent - semi-circular tent that once pitched can be moved without taken down
  • Sewn in floor - canvas floor sewn into the bottom of the tent
    1. Stake - small post that is driven into the ground to hold the tent in place
    1. Stake loop - one of the fabric circles attached to the tent's outer edge, driven through the loops to anchor the tent to the ground
  • Elastic strainer - elasticized cable used to stretch the canvas taut and anchor it to the ground
    1. Door - piece of canvas covering the entrance to the tent
  • Roof pole - long vertical post supporting the top of the tent
  • Rainfly - piece of waterproof canvas that covers the inner tent

    1. Mummy shaped like the body, it has a part that covers the head and neck with an opening for the face
    2. Semi mummy sleeping bag with less spacious design to better retain body heat
    3. Rectangular spacious enough to give the body room to move

    Range of compact table utensils used by the camper to eat
  • Travel or hiking bag that is worn on the back and is used to transport clothing, camping equipments
  • Vacuum bottle container used to hold liquid or semi solid food
  • Cooler thermally insulated chest that is used to keep food cold with ice cubes or block of ice
  • Canteen portable container used to store liquid
  • Water carrier container with a spigot that is used to store drinking water when camping
