• A map is a form of aerial picture

  It contains a lot more detail than a photograph and it shows it's details using symbol
• Grid lines, run from bottom to top and side to side.
• Each square represent an area of 1 square kilometer, each edge of square represent 1 km of distance
• 1:50000 mean 1 cm on the map is 500 meters on the ground
• 4 cardinal points
