Identify and describe scalar quantities
scalar has a size but no direction
eg: speed, distance, mass temperature, time
Identify and describe vector quantities
vectors have a magnitude & direction
eg: force, acceleration, velocity
vectors can be represented by arrows
Identify and give examples of forces as contact or non-contact forces
contact forces have to be touching
eg: friction, air resistance, normal contact force
non-contact forces do not need to be touching
eg: magnetic, electrostatic, gravitational
Describe the interaction between two objects and the force produced on each as a vector
when 2 objects interact, there is a force produced on both objects
an INTERACTION is a pair of forces that are equal & opposite
