"Work done by an object is always equal to the energy transferred or by the object."
Kinetic energy (KE) is the energy of a moving object.
Kinetic Energy = ½ × mass × velocity²
(Gravitational) potential energy (PE) is the energy an object has because of its position (usually its height above ground, or some other reference point).
Change in potential energy = mass × gravitational field strength × change in height
PE = m × g × h
Potential energy is measured in joules (J).
Mass is measured in kilograms (kg).
Gravitational field strength is measured in N/kg (or m/s²).
Height is measured in metres (m).
The law of conservation of energy states that energy can't be created or destroyed, only transferred from one form to another.
