    • there is no God but Allah

    • salah is the first thing that Allah will ask them about on the day of judgement (Hadith)

    • the best day the sun rises over is friday ; on it Allah created Adam (Hadith)

  • zakah
    • the believers shade on the day of judgement will be his charity (Hadith)

    • whoever fasts during ramadan with faith and seeking his rewad will have his past sins forgiven (Hadith)

    • the night of Glory is better than worshipping for 1000 months (Quran)

    • Allah has prescribe Hajj upon you so perform it (Prophet)
    • the reward of accepted Hajj is nothing but Paradise (Hadith)
  • muharram
    • if I remain alive till next year I shall also observe fast on the 9th of Muharram (Hadith)
    • Bring out your people from darkness into the light and remind them of the days of Allah (Quran - said to Musa)
  • ashura
    • every day is ashura and every land is karbala (shia saying)
    • the sacrifice of imam hussein symbolizes the eternal fight against oppression (shia expression)
  • free will
    • do not be a slave to others when Allah created you free (Hadith)

  • predestination
    Allah knows what we will do but we still have freedom to choose
    • nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us (Quran)

    Allah already sets everything + we are just doing it

    • behind them is barzakh until the day of judgement (Quran)

    • the record will be placed and you will see the criminals are fearful of that (Quran)

    • indeed for the righteous with their Lord are the gardens of pleasure (Quran)
    • you will not enter paradise until you have faith and you will not have faith until you love one another (Prophet)
  • jahannam
    • fear the fire, which has been prepared for the disbelievers (Quran)
    • their wish will be to get out of the fire but they will never get out. their penalty will be one that endures (Quran)
  • greater jihad
    • the most excellent jihad is that for the conquest of self (Hadith)
    • the mujahid (one who struggles in Allahs cause) s the one who strives against his soul (Hadith)
  • lesser jihad
    • fighting is prescribed for you and you dislike it ... but Allah knows and you do not (Quran)
    • and fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you (Quran)
    • those who ,when tyranny strikes them, they defend themselves (Quran)
