  • Sponsorship is the financial support for a sport (whether this is an event, organisation or performer) by an outside body (be it a person or organisation) for the mutual benefit of both parties. Sponsorship Can happen at any level.

  • Disadvantages of increase in media coverage are more power over the sport and so could change the rules of the sport for their own gain, fewer people may go to sport competitions if they can watch the competitions for free via media(TV or online) so ticket sales will go down
  • Players may turn to violence if they are frustrated with a result or referees decision if they are over emotional or competitive or if they respond to other place actions this could lead to retaliation
  • As things may choose to use performance enhancing drugs to increase their chart and being successful in their sport, to increase their fame by improving their performance, to increase their wealth by becoming more successful sport, to level the playing field of their competitive are also taking performance enhancing drugs
  • Negative health effects of using beta blockers are nausea, weakness, low blood pressure, severely alter blood-sugar levels, weight gain, extreme fatigue, can reduce endurance capabilities, cramp and heart failure
  • A negative side effects of antibiotic steroids are high blood pressure, heart disease, behavioural change, oily skin, increased acne, infertility and increase risk of developing cancer (men: testicles shrink/infertility, women: facial hair)
  • Negative effects of stimulants include high blood pressure, heart and liver problems, change in behaviour, confusion, paranoia, delirium and strokes. You can also become addicted.
