Cold front affects the Caribbean region
1. Cold air from North America (Northers) moves into the Caribbean
2. There is a well-defined boundary where this cold, dry air meets the warm, moist air of the Caribbean
3. The cold air is denser and heavier and so it pushes its way beneath the warm air
4. The warm air, which is lighter and less dense than the cold air, is forced to rise
5. The rising of air will result in cooling
6. Cooling will result in condensation and then condensation will result in cloud formation (cumulonimbus clouds)
7. Eventually rain will fall (heavy rain and thunderstorms)
