Mary's marriage

• If she married Courtenay earl of Devon he was royal blood, English and could strengthen the tudor dynasty
• If she married Philip of Spain he was powerful and could protect England
• Mary ignores advice and a petition and margies Philip
• The pair did not meet till 2 days prior to the wedding in July 1554
• Mary and Philip found it hard to speak to eachother
