    • Current
    • Voltage
    • Energy
    • Resistance
  • Charge (Q)

    Amount of charged particles
  • Current (I)
    Rate of flow of charge
  • Voltage (V)
    • Electromotive force (EMF) = amount of energy supplied to unit charge to go through the whole circuit
    • Potential difference (PD) = energy spent by unit charge to go through part of the circuit
  • Energy (E)

Amount of energy supplied to per unit work charge
  • Resistance (R)
    • Opposition to current flow
    • Depends on length, cross-section area, temperature, material
  • Experiment with circuit
    1. Switch circuit every two minutes
    2. Run components with different materials, different resistance
  • Parallel circuit
    • Total current is sum of branch currents
    • Voltage is same for all branches
    • Total resistance is smaller than any individual resistance
  • Series circuit
    • Current is same throughout the whole circuit
    • Voltage is split up among the resistors
    • Total resistance is greater than any individual resistor
