  • 4 factors of production- what you need for a business 
    Land- where your business is set up. For example, factory, building or shop 
    Labour-the people that work for you. For example, workers or employees 
    Capital- things that you need to start your business. For example, money and machinery 
    Enterprise- what made you start your business. For example, your idea 
  • An example using factors of production: 
    The factors of production needed for a farm would be a field which would be the land, the farmers and people working would be the labour, the money needed to buy greenhouses and tractors would be the capital and other animals that many farms don't have would be the enterprise. 
  • Sectors of production 
    Primary sector- first stage of production that sues raw materials, for example farms, oils, coal, and iron miners 
    Secondary sector- second stage of production process which uses primary sources and uses these to make the product, for example manufactures and printers 
    Tertiary sector- final stage that provides products and services, for example fast food stores, delivery companies and supermarkets such as Aldi
