Experiment w/Quadrat

• 1. Divide the area into a grid and use a random number generator to pick coordinates. This avoids invalid sample results
• 2. Count all the organisms u're interested in within the quadrat
• 3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 (for a larger sample size, meaning more representation of a whole population) to make ur results valid
• 4. Work out the mean of the no. of organisms per m2
• 5. Scale up to estimate the total population of the habitat
