Light intensity

• An increase in light intensity results in an increase in the rate of photosynthesis, but only to a maximum level

  
• If the light intensity becomes too high, the stomata close (limiting the intake of CO2) and carbon dioxide then becomes a limiting factor
• Carbon dioxide and water are what the plant converts into glucose, and so without enough carbon dioxide, the process of photosynthesis cannot occur
