    Effectiveness: Has worked in some favelas. Harder to take control of in the bigger favelas like Donna Marta

    Locals work together to build new parts of housing and to clean up the streets

    Effectiveness: Some residents buy the house or pay rent. However, it's very expensive for the government and most favelas already have basic sanitation and some favelas housing is already made from concrete and brick

    Effectiveness: Cuts journey time, brings tourists to explore more of the area, each resident is given a free return tickets each day so cheaper than using existing minibus
    However, it cost a lot of money for the government
