    if we add (+) the graph will move upwards, if we subtract (-) the graph moves down.
  • What does f(x +/- a) to a graph?
    Do the opposite of what’s in the bracket. If it’s add (+) go in the negative direction. If it’s subtract (-) go in the positive direction.
  • What does -f(x) do to the graph?
    Reflects it across the x-axis.
  • What does f(-x) do to the graph?
    Reflects it across the y-axis.
  • What does kf(x) do to the graph?
    Multiply all the y values by k.
  • What does f(kx) do ?
    Divide the x value by k
