    Muscle cells, sperm cells, nerve cells, phloem, xylem and root hair cells
  • What is a sperm cell?

    its role is to deliver genetic material to an egg in order to fertalise it

    They can divide by mitosis and differentiate into different specialised cells
  • What is an embryonic stem cell?
    They can specialise into any type of cell- they can divide by mitosis- help growth of embryo
  • What is an adult stem cell?
    They can only specialise into blood cells (white blood cells and red blood cells)- they replace dead cells to enable growth
  • What is a plant stem cell?
    The stem cells in plants are produced in the meristem tissue in the shoots and roots- specialise for a job needed for the plant
