• Geographic coordinate system - value of the intersecting lines which form the grid
• Geographic coordinate system - numerical reference that helps determine the location of specific places on Earth
• Geographic coordinate system - also called geographical coordinates
• Absolute location - precise description of where a place is located on the Earth's surface
• Relative location - refers to the position of a place/entity based on its loaction with respect to other locations
• latitude - horizontal lines, run from west to east, measures the distance north to south of the equator
• Equator - reference point that has a location of 0⁰ latitude, "The Great Cricle"
• longitude - vertical lines, run from north to south, reference point is prime meridian
• antemeridian - longitude increases as one moves eastward/westward until it reaches the opposite end
