LINE DANCE
Performers are arranged in a linearposition
Dancers are not in physical contact with one another
May be performed in two or morelines where dancers face one another
Dancers form a circle and may hold one another's hands to keep the circle intact
BALL CHANGE
Stand with feet together, step onto the ball with right foot, step and change weight onto left foot, and vice versa
KICK-BALL CHANGE
Stand with feet together, kick right foot forward, step onto the ball with right foot, and step or change weight onto left foot. Repeat with other foot.
POINT-BALL CHANGE
Same as kick-ball change, but instead of kicking, just point the toe
BASIC CHARLESTON
Stand with feet together, step left foot forward and right foot in front of left, step backward and return to original position, repeat with left foot
SHUFFLE
Step right foot forward, slide left foot closer to right, slide right foot, then left. Repeat.
