  A person living alone or a group of people living together (sharing meals, bills, housework etc). This group may or may not be related to one another.
• Family


  Involves monogamous marriage between a man and a woman, plus their children, all sharing the same residence. This nuclear family is often held as the ideal. However, this definition rules out groups that many would see as families, such as unmarried cohabiting couples.
